Methods The English language medical literature was reviewed for appropriate articles relating to rimonabant for the treatment of obesity and/or the metabolic syndrome. The search terms used were "rimonabant," "rimonabant AND obesity," "rimonabant AND metabolic syndrome," and "rimonabant AND diabetes."
